PARSONSFIELD- Please join us in loving memory of Jacqueline P Drawdy, 82, who passed away peacefully on December 4, 2023 at The Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough, Maine. Jackie leaves behind her two children, Pamela A Abraham and Brent E Drawdy, her son-in-law, David G Abraham, and her two grandchildren, Samantha Abraham and John Abraham. She was born to the late Howard B Johnson and Hazel P Johnson on November 26, 1941 in West Palm Beach, Florida and was the sister to the late Jerry Johnson and the late Cheryl Foster. Her celebration of life will take place with her family, many cousins, aunts and uncles, and close friends in Buchannan, Georgia on a date to later be determined.
Her career was with The Forest Hill Golf Club where she was the bookkeeper for over 20 years. She was a remarkable woman whose life was a testament to her boundless compassion and unwavering love for the Lord. As a devoted mother, she showered her family with unconditional love, creating a home filled with warmth and understanding. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her family, making her a wonderfully supportive friend, always present for those in need.
Jackie was a radiant soul, filled with God’s love and grace. She used her beautiful voice, as a gospel singer, to touch the hearts of many as she performed with her late brother Jerry Johnson and the Florida Harvesters, playing in churches and nursing homes all over south Florida. She led many to love the Lord through her personal walk with God, gentle kindness, and gift of music, inspiring them to find solace in faith.
An avid lover of all animals, particularly dogs, Jackie found joy in their companionship and was known for her compassion toward all creatures. Additionally, she was a dedicated bird watcher, finding beauty in the delicate details of nature.
One of Jackie’s simple pleasures was front porch sitting, where she embraced the serenity of each moment and cherished the company of those around her. Her incredible sense of humor illuminated every room, bringing joy to those fortunate enough to share in her laughter.
As we say our goodbyes, let us remember Jackie as a beacon of love, faith, and joy. Her legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched and her spirit will forever be a source of inspiration to those who were blessed to know her.

We would like to thank Beacon Hospice of South Portland Maine. Dina, Michael, Hannah and Brett and the staff of Beacon Hospice went above and beyond caring for our mother as if she were their own. Words cannot express our gratitude to each and everyone of them.
We would also like to thank the love and kindness expressed in the care of our mother at The Gosnell Memorial Hospice House. You allowed us to be her son and daughter as your nurses, aides, chaplains, volunteers and social workers made our mother comfortable and cared for in a way that brought us such comfort. Your facility was filled with such peace and we are forever grateful for the experience and care you showed to us and our mother.
With sincere gratitude,
Pamela and Brent
