Danvers
Jacqueline E. (Desrochers) Silva, 104, of Danvers, passed away on December 1, 2023 at the Beverly Hospital following a brief illness. She was the loving wife of the late Francis J. Silva with whom she shared 33 years of marriage.
Born in Lynn and raised in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Emile and Florence (Menard) Desrochers. A graduate of Ste. Anne School and St. Joseph Academy she also attended secretarial school. Jackie began working for Sylvania at the Loring Avenue plant working for forty years before retiring in 1980. An active and social woman, she was a member of Ste. Anne League of Catholic Women, Sylvania Quarter Century Club, Beverly Franco American Club, the AOH and Salem AARP.
Jackie was devoted to her family and enjoyed traveling, dancing and all New England sports, especially her Celtics.
She is survived by her daughter, Nina F. Gagnon of Beverly, her four grandchildren, Nicole D. Martorana and husband Frank, Craig K. Gagnon, Jackie Rose & Lyn Ann Silva, and 2 great-grandsons Anthony and Adam Martorana. Jackie also leaves her brother Jean E. Desrochers of Peabody, daughter-in-law Carla (King) Silva, as well as nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her son, Bruce F. Silva, sister, Constance A. Desrochers and son-in-law, Kenneth Gagnon.
Relatives and friends are invited to her calling hours at the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St. [Route 114 / 1-A] on Saturday, December 9, 2023 from 9:00 to 10:45 AM to be followed by her funeral service at 11:00 AM.
