FALL RIVER… Dr. James M. Yunker, 72, of Westport, passed away, on Saturday at 3.00 a.m., December 2, 2023, at St. Anne’s Hospital.
He was the husband of Natalia (Ivanivna) Yunker of Westport.
Dr. James M. Yunker was born in Owensboro, KY. His mother is Leonna “Pat” Yunker, his father is Milton S. Yunker. He had lived in Westport since 2005.
James was employed by the Federal Government - Naval Undersea Warfare Center as a Computer Scientist for the building of computer programs. He wanted to have a pilot license to fly. He liked watching YouTube - videos of people who would fly at helicopter or building helicopters. He was graduated in Virginia Tech, MIT (University of Michigan), Vanderbilt (private university in Nashville, TN) and Berkeley (California) universities.
Survivors include his wife, a brother Larry S. Yunker of Memphis, TN and 3 nephews – Joseph, William and David Yunker’s. He was the brother of Tony Yunker of Lafayette who passed away 2018 .
Services to which relatives and friends are invited will be held, Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at 12:00 Noon at the SOUTH COAST FUNERAL HOME 1555 Pleasant Street, Fall River, MA.
