Bonnie Vanita Denby Dean, 71, of Tifton passed away Sunday, December 3, 2023, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Tifton with Brother Derrell Spikes, Brother Joe Keys and Bishop Justin Beck officiating. Mrs. Dean will be laid to rest at Cumorah Cemetery in Douglas. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
William Summerlin, Ricky Crosby, Dave Curley, Clyde Curley, Damon Spikes, Jad Dean and Little Bennie Dean will serve as pallbearers.
Born July 24, 1952, in Tift County, Mrs. Dean was the daughter of the late Albert Elijah Denby and Nadine Jordan Denby. Before retiring, she was the bookkeeper for First Products in Tifton; and she was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Tifton.
Mrs. Dean is survived by her husband, Lewis Dean of Tifton; one son and daughter-in-law, Tyrone and Zoe Dean of Tifton; and two grandchildren, Tyler Dean and Norah Dean.
