Frederick A. Perillo passed away at his Lynnfield home on Sunday, December 3rd. He was 99. Born in East Boston, he was the son of the late Gustave and the late Elizabeth (Brogna) Perillo. He grew up in East Boston, spent most of his work life and early retirement in Medford, and then settled in Lynnfield with his wife a couple of decades ago.
Fred was a proud and loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and uncle. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army in World War II. After serving, he worked always as a printer, the last few years of his career working for the U.S. government. An avid walker, Fred also exercised on a stationary bicycle, but his true love was spending time with his family.
Fred was the beloved husband of the late Arlene M. (Shaw) Perillo. She passed away in 2005. He was the devoted father of Bobby Perillo, Jimmy Perillo and Johnny Perillo and his wife Sharon. He was the father-in-law of JoAnn Pellegrino. He was the loving grandfather of Michael Perillo, Jeffrey Perillo, Jennifer O'Brien, and Janelle Dinaso. He was the loving great grandfather of Abigail O'Brien and Ava O'Brien. He was the devoted brother Virginia Scimemi and John Perillo and the late Alfonse Perillo. Fred is also survived by many nieces and nephews
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford Wednesday, December 6th from 10 AM-12 Noon, followed by a funeral service in the funeral home at 12 Noon. Services will conclude with burial at Forest Hill Cemetery, Lynnfield.
