Roy R. Jenkerson, Sr., 78, of Goffstown, NH, died Monday December 4, 2023 in the Granite VNA Hospice House in Concord, NH surrounded by his loving family. He was born on September 28, 1945 in Manchester, NH, a son of the late Harry and Muriel (Taylor) Jenkerson. He had been a resident of Goffstown for the past ten years, formerly living in Fremont, NH, Chester, NH and Derry, NH. Roy was a US Navy veteran serving during the Vietnam War. He had been self employed as a mason for many years. Roy was a member of the VFW Post #1617 in Derry, and a life member of the Halcyon Club in Derry.
He is survived by his son, Roy Jenkerson, Jr.; his stepson, Keith Martin; two stepdaughters, Sharmon Martin, and Wendy Borovick with whom he lived; several grandchildren; his sister, Beverly Healey; and his brothers, John Jenkerson, and Richard Jenkerson; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Following cremation, there will be a celebration of life for Roy on Friday, December 8th from 1 – 4pm at the Mont Royal Club, 594 Somerville St., Manchester, NH. He will be buried in the Great Hill Cemetery in Chester in the Spring. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium of Derry and Londonderry are assisting the family with arrangements.
