Anthony J. Marzullo, age 88, a longtime resident of Woburn, passed away peacefully Saturday, December 2, 2023, following a short period of declining health. He was the beloved husband of June A. (Amodeo) Marzullo with whom shared 54 years of marriage. Born in San Marco dei Cavoti, Italy, he was the son of the late Angelo and Carmellamarie Marzullo.
Anthony was a talented Chef and for many years he owned and operated the former, Deli of Course II, which was located in North Woburn. Throughout his life he enjoyed gardening, making his own wine, fishing and traveling. For thirty years Anthony and June looked forward to spending the winter months at their home in Jupiter, Florida, where they enjoyed the warm weather and cultivated many wonderful friendships over the years. Anthony will be fondly remembered for his hard work ethic and his unwavering devotion to his family.
In addition to his beloved wife June, Anthony is survived by his devoted children; Anthony Marzullo, Jr. of Woburn, Eleanor Stephens and her husband Mark of Methuen, and Anna Agri of Woburn. He was the loving grandfather of eight grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. Brother of Michael Marzullo of Cape Cod, Grace Constanza of Middleton, and the late Armando Marzullo.
Funeral from the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Family Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., WOBURN, Saturday, December 9th, at 9:30 a.m. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Anthony Church, 851 Main St., Woburn, at 10:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday 5 to 8 p.m. Services will conclude with burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
