Obituary

On November 27, 2023, Leslie Joan Brignoli (Leavitt), 87, with her eldest daughter tenderly caring for her, was called home to her forever home, Heaven, to live with Jesus for eternity.

In 1958 Leslie married John Thomas Brignoli, better known as Jack. Together they raised 5 children. Leslie was a dedicated wife and mother. While raising her children Leslie began to inquire of God the answers to the questions of her heart. In August of 1978 her questions were answered with the revelation of how much God loved her and what Jesus, the Son of God did for her on the Cross. At that moment she thanked God and accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior. She was a new person filled with Joy, Hope and Peace. She wanted everyone she knew and everyone she met to experience that same Joy, Hope and Peace, that she knew only comes from that surrendered relationship to Jesus. With that strong conviction she became a soft-spoken evangelist.

Leslie was the youngest of 9 siblings born to Fred and Lillian Leavitt, who are now deceased along with all her siblings, her husband, Jack, his parents, his sisters, her eldest granddaughter, and a son in-law.

Leslie is survived by her 5 children, Teresa (Terry) Sjoo-Brignoli of Plymouth, Brenda Parsons of Wareham, Deborah (Debbi) Reilly and her husband Matthew (Matt) of NH, John (Johnny) Brignoli of Dartmouth and Jill Farrell and her husband Noel of Marshfield. She is also survived by her fur baby Daisy May, entrusted to the loving care of Jill and Noel. She leaves 9 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, including one due in March. She also leaves many nieces, nephews, church family, friends, neighbors and a message to all who read this:
God loves you. Reach out to Him for the answers to your questions and receive the truth that He is eager to share, Jesus the Hope of Salvation. All who answer the call will see Leslie again when their time comes, and they are called home.
Matthew 11:28-30 New American Standard Bible

“Come to Me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is comfortable and My burden is light.”
