Worcester – Dorothy “Dolly” J. (Lamothe) Larkin, 90, of Worcester passed away peacefully on November 30, 2023 in her home while surrounded by her family.
Dolly was married for 49 years to the late, John P. Larkin who died in 2010. She is survived by two step daughters, Judy Thielman of Barton, VT and Patty Gilmore of Charlton, MA; a brother, Wilfred “Sonny” Lamothe of Springfield and many nieces and nephews. Dolly was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Wilfred and Florence (Sansoucie) Lamothe and is also predeceased by a sister, Marie Brooks,
Mrs. Larkin worked for many years at the former H.H. Brown Shoe as a machine operator and later worked for the Comfort Slipper Corporation. She was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching the Boston Red Sox, however, she was dedicated to the New England Patriots and would never miss watching a game.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 8, 2023 at 11 AM in the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. Worcester. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. A calling hour will be held from 10 to 11 prior to the funeral service. The family requests that flowers be omitted and memorial contributions be made to the Worcester Animal Rescue League 139 Holden Street Worcester, MA 01605.
