Linda Lee (Butterfield) Novello (76) passed away peacefully on November 30, 2023 with her family lovingly by her side after a long illness.
Linda Lee Butterfield was born in Medford, MA in June 1947 to Bess (Harrison) and Dr. Clifford Butterfield.
Linda was the loving wife of Rocco “Rocky" Novello who passed away in 2008. She is survived by her daughter Christian Hodgdon and Christian’s husband, David of Medway. She is also survived by her grandson Allen Hodgdon and his wife, Samantha of Medway and was great grandmother to their daughters Sienna and Summer.
She was preceded in death by her sisters Diana Fletcher and Jean Condito.
Linda was a graduate of Medford high school and the Chandler school for woman. She worked for many years at Speroni’s restaurant in Medway. She retired in 2016 from a 23-year career at Caremark as a licensed pharmacy tech.
Linda spent summers of her youth at their family home in Lake Nicataous, Maine. She had previously lived in Texas and California with her first husband, Noel Tillman while he was in the Air Force. She resettled back in Massachusetts and has made Medway her home since 1977.
Linda had a great sense of humor and was extremely generous and kind hearted. She enjoyed spending her time crafting, baking and entertaining. She always looked forward to her and Rocky’s annual vacation in Aruba with their many friends and family. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. Her regular visits with her great granddaughters gave her so much happiness.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Linda’s favorite charity St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. or Cerebral amyloid angiopathy (CAA) research department at Mass General hospital.
A remembrance service will be held at the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 3 Barber Street, Medway on Thursday, December 7 at 1:00pm.
Immediately followed by graveside service at Saint Joseph’s Cemetery, Medway.
