RILEY, John J. of Wellesley, November 29, 2023. Beloved husband of Emma Claudia (Lancheros) Riley. Devoted father of Emma E. Riley-Horvath and her husband Jim of Stoughton and John T. Riley and his wife Maureen of Rollinsford, NH. Grandfather of Ashley, Thomas, and Emily. Brother of the late Ellen Harvey.
John attended Boston English High School, Boston College, and graduated from St. John's Seminary. He retired after teaching for 38 years in the Billerica Public School System.
Visiting hours will be held at the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 477 Washington St., (Rt.16) Wellesley on Tuesday, Dec. 5 from 4-7pm. His funeral will be held from the funeral home on Wednesday, Dec. 6 at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. John the Evangelist Church, Wellesley Hills at 10am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
