Joan M. (Carvalho) Stone, 75, of Tiverton passed away on November 30, 2023 at St. Anne's Hospital after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Deloy Stone Sr. She was born in Fall River, MA. Daughter of the late Belmira (Rodrigues) Carvalho and the late Manuel A. Carvalho, and the sister of the late Manuel "Pete" Carvalho. She was a lifelong resident of Tiverton.
Survivors include her daughter Crystal Gaw and her husband Roy of Gaffney, S. Carolina, her son Deloy "Chip" Stone Jr. and his wife Toni of Tiverton, RI, and daughter Meggin Handrigan and her husband John of West Kingston, RI. She leaves four grandchildren-Aja Sirrico and her husband Tristan, Margaret Stone, Chandler and Cooper Handrigan- and nieces Melissa Carvalho and Stacey Herman.
Joan was happiest when she was playing the guitar, singing and spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed painting and drawing. Joan will be remembered for her generous spirit and huge heart.
