Obituary



Evan M. Beauvais, 37, of Medford passed away on November 15th at Leahy Clinic in Burlington. Evan leaves his mother, Amy (Prince) Beauvais and his father, Malcolm A. Beauvais, of West Boylston, MA. Evan also leaves his sister, Alicia (Beauvais) Barr of Rutland, MA, her husband, Jacob Barr, and their two children, Lucas, aged 12, and Lilah, aged 9. He also leaves his sister, Molly Beauvais, of Dorchester, MA, her husband, Brett Asselin, and their son, Wells, aged 10 months. Evan also leaves his loving partner, Jocelyn Mach, of Medford, MA.

Evan was born in Worcester, MA on May 10, 1986. He attended Clark Street Elementary School in Worcester, then finished middle and high school at West Boylston Middle High School. He played both basketball and baseball for the school. Evan attended Framingham State College, graduating in 2008 with a Bachelor's Degree in History. He played on the college baseball team, acting as captain in his senior year. After graduating, he spent time in New Zealand volunteering for a nature conservation, and later earned his Master's Degree in Moderate Disabilities and Education from Fitchburg State College. At the time of his death, Evan was a Moderate Disabilities Teacher at Maria Hastings Elementary School in Lexington, MA.

Family was everything to Evan. He was happiest when surrounded by those he loved - his immediate family, his partner, Jocelyn, his cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends. Evan’s interests were many. He was an accomplished photographer and chef, loved gardening and plants, art, books and the outdoors.

Evan was a quiet man, but his kind and loving presence was felt by everyone he knew and encountered in his daily life. Evan’s passing has left a deep hole in our hearts.

His celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 16th beginning at 11:00am in The First Church in Sterling, 6 Meetinghouse Road, Sterling, MA. O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue is assisting the family with arrangements.
