Today, we celebrate the life of Victor “Wil” Solis. We gather in the midst of profound sorrow, but also in heartfelt gratitude and love for a man whose presence in our lives was a blessing. His departure has left a lasting mark on our hearts, yet his love, his laughter, and his memories continue to comfort us.
Wil was not just a Husband or Father, he was a friend, a confidante, a best friend, a leader to many. He left us on November 14th, 2023 at the age of 57. While his death was sudden and unexpected, our memories of him will leave us with hope for a brighter future.
He was born to Tomas Solis and Luciana Sosa on December 23, 1965, in La Ceiba, Honduras. Wil was a man of extraordinary strength, of unwavering courage, of boundless love. He believed in the power of dreams, the strength of kindness, and the beauty of life. He migrated to the United States at the young age of 18 to Boston, where he met and fell in love with his wife Carmen Janeth Solis, and had two beautiful boys Bryan and Brandon Solis. They raised both of them in Boston which Wil lived most of his life
Wil was a man who always wore his heart on his sleeve … a man that was always laughing and smiling inside and out, a man that could never stay mad at anyone. Wil loved to joke, travel, cook and was always willing to try new things. In his earlier days, he was passionate about his music. Many know he was a DJ and loved to take the party with him wherever he went. His spirit lit up any room he entered. He had a light and love with a natural warmness that would make any one feel at home. He was always a man who had high hopes and dreams and was always planning for the future. Although he only had two children, many looked up to him as a father. He was a father and mentor to many. Wil was the type of person that would do anything for anyone if he could, no questions asked.
While we may shed many tears and mourn our Wil now, we send him off in the brightest clothing to a better place. A place where he will never have to suffer the harshness of this world again.
Wil, your physical presence may be absent, but your love continues to surround us, your laughter continues to echo in our hearts, and your spirit continues to guide us. Rest in peace, dear Wil. You will always be loved, always be missed, and forever be remembered.
In addition to his Wife, Janeth Solis, and Children, Bryan and Brandon Solis, Wil is survived by his siblings: Ana Solis, Elena Solis, Juan C. Solis, Luis M. Solis and Tomas Solis. He will also be survived by his Cousins, Aunts, Uncles, Nephews and Nieces.
