Donald K. Land

Donald K. Land, 92, long time Anderson resident passed away November 25, 2023 in Palm Harbor, Florida.
He was born on October 4, 1931 in Anderson, the son of Harold L. and Lena K. (White) Land. He was a science teacher in the Anderson Community Schools for 26 years, retiring in 1993. Prior to teaching, he was employed by Delco Remy for 17 years.
Donald was a 1950 graduate of Anderson High School and attended both Anderson University and Ball State University. He served in the US Air Force during the Korean War. He had previously been a member of the Masonic Lodge 734, Scottish Rite, Murat Temple and Madison County Shrine Club. He attended Bayside Community Church of God.
Survivors include his wife, Gail Kay (Kirkpatrick) Land of Clearwater, Florida, whom he married on June 24, 1955; his children, Sherri (Joe) Voytik, Ronald Land, Rodger (Terri) Land; four grandchildren; six great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his siblings, Robert Land, Frank Land, and Mary Sheller.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 7, 2023 at 2pm at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service. Burial will follow at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be held also on Thursday from noon until the service at 2 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be give to the American Diabetes Association.
