Eleanor (Evans) Ralls, 99, beloved wife of predeceased John Daniel Ralls Sr., for 65 years, died November 26, 2023. She was born in Manchester, CT, the daughter of Edward and Drusilla (Washington) Simmons. Eleanor was a proud graduate of Stonington High School. She worked as a waxer at Arwood in Groton for 35 years, and as a first aide when needed. Eleanor was a long-time member of Pleasant Street Baptist Church in Westerly, RI.
She will be sadly missed by her children: Ellen Jones, John Ralls Jr., and Barbara Turner, along with sons-in-law, six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her daughter, Pamela Thornton, and her siblings.
Visiting hours will be from 10 - 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 7th, at the Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl St., Mystic, immediately followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Elm Grove Cemetery in Mystic.
