Jeannette M. (Tardiff) Pero, 90, a resident of Salem, passed away on November 12, 2023 at Maristhill Rehabilitation Center in Waltham following a brief illness.
She was the wife of the late Albert R. Pero with whom she shared 54 years of marriage.
Born and raised in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Wilfred and Mary (Szczechowicz) Tardiff. Following her marriage she devoted herself to the raising of her young family. She was employed for over twenty-five years by GTE Sylvania in Salem, from which she retired. She was a former parishioner of Ste. Anne’s Parish in Salem where she and her husband participated in many parish activities.
When her children were young, Jeannette enjoyed many summertime camping vacations with her family in New Hampshire. In later years, she and her husband Albert enjoyed traveling, including cruises and vacations in Las Vegas. Their many stays in Vegas, led them to retire there for many years. They enjoyed making new friends and making memories along the way.
Jeannette is survived by four sons, John A. Pero and wife Gloria of Salem, James G. Pero and wife Ann of Ruskin, FL, Daniel P. Pero and wife Robin of San Tan Valley, AZ, Albert R. Pero, Jr. and partner Vicki Stimus of Clearwater, FL. She also leaves her grandchildren, Preston Wade and fiancé Brandon Key of Salem, James G. Pero, II and wife Ashley of Lakeland, FL, Michelle Diaz and husband Adrian of San Antonio, TX, Keri-Anne Zimmerman and husband Paul of Texas, Stephen Pero and wife Rachel of Arizona, Brian Pero and wife Katrina of California, as well as seven great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Theresa Sorenson and Arthur Tardiff.
