Theresa Y. (Lemelin) Faulling, 95, of Salem, passed away in her home on Sunday, November 26, 2023 following a brief illness. She was the loving wife of the late Lawrence McCleveland Faulling, with whom she shared 37 years of marriage.
Born and raised in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Archille and Florence (Levesque) Lemelin. She began her varied career beginning at Parker Brothers and then working in retail sales for the former Almy’s Department Store in Salem. She later worked as a nurse’s aid for the Salem Hospital. Theresa’s favorite work was for the Salem School Department both in the cafeteria and as a hall monitor for elementary and high school as well as for the Salem State College.
Devoted to her family and her very large extended family (she was one of eleven siblings). Theresa also enjoyed working at the polls during elections. She was a lifelong member of Ste. Anne Parish and when health permitted enjoyed volunteering for fund raising events.
Theresa is survived by her children, Florence R. Russell, Karen R. Faulling, Robin T. Faulling and Lawrence M. Faulling, Jr. all of Salem, her sister Jeannette Johnson of Danvers, her grandchildren, Gerald “Sonny” Maynard & Kendra Maynard both of Lynn, Justine Hatch of Lynn, Scott Spaulding of Saint Croix, V. I., Christopher Faulling of Methuen, Nicholas Faulling of Hudson, NH. She also leaves thirteen great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by their daughter Shelley Zimmerman.
Relatives and friends are invited to her calling hours at the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St. [Route 114 / 1-A] Salem on Friday, December 1, 2023, from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM.
