Longtime Tewksbury resident, Diane E. (Hauswirth) McGuinness, 71, of Dracut, MA, passed away in the embrace of her sons and brothers on November 20, 2023, in Boston, MA.
Born in Winchester on August 4, 1952, she was the only daughter of Albert J. and Diane (Kilgore) Hauswirth. She was raised and educated in Tewksbury.
Diane is survived by her loving sons, Shawn, Colin, and Andrew, as well as her daughters-in-law, Beth and Brooke. She was a devoted grandmother to Aidan and Liam. Diane is also survived by her five brothers and sisters-in-law, A.D. Rus and Jocelyn Hauswirth, Robert and Donna Hauswirth, Ronald and Christine Hauswirth, Gary and Debra Hauswirth, and Kevin and Carol Hauswirth; as well as 15 nieces and nephews.
Diane was at her happiest when spending time with her family, her grandsons in particular, sharing stories and creating new memories to be cherished in years to come. In her free time, she enjoyed playing bingo, crocheting afghans, watching crime-drama television, and yelling at the Bruins on the TV.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday, November 30, 2023, from 4pm to 7pm at Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, located at 16 Lee Street in Tewksbury, MA.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Diane's memory can be made to the Special Olympics.
