WORCESTER___Eleanor F. Lambert, 88, of Worcester, died on Friday November 24, 2023 following a period of declining health.
Eleanor was born in Worcester to Felix and Emily Mikolajczyk. She attended St. Mary’s Elementary School and graduated from David Hale Fanning Trade School and was a licensed cosmetologist. Eleanor worked a variety of jobs but mainly cared full time for her disabled son for his 39 years of life. She loved family, praying, the Catholic Mass, the Blessed Mother, and the rosary. Eleanor had a way of making everyone laugh and left us with many fond memories.
Eleanor leaves her daughter, Denise M., wife of John Y. Nelson of Worcester; a granddaughter, Heather J. Lerdal (Erik) of Leicester; a grandson, Jared J. Nelson of Auburn; a great granddaughter, Alyssa B. Lerdal of Leicester; a sister, Theresa Girouard of Worcester and many nephews and nieces. Eleanor was predeceased by her beloved husband of 51 years, Edgar L. Lambert in 2008 and her son, Paul E. Lambert in 2003. She was also predeceased by brothers Joseph Mikolajczyk and John Mikolajczyk and sisters Jane Mita, Emily Wisnewski, Adele Dymek and Agnes Mikolajczyk.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday November 29, 2023 with a Mass at 11:00 A.M. in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main Street. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours are Wednesday November 29, 2023 from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. in HENRY - DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward Street before processing to church.
