Jerry L. “Rob” Turner, Sr., 79, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Friday, November 24, 2023, at his residence, surrounded by his family.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, Georgia, with the Rev. Randy Holt and Sis. Charlotte Lawrence officiating. Interment will follow in New Testament Cemetery in Ben Hill County. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Monday evening at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mr. Turner was born May 27, 1944, in Anniston, Alabama, to the late Grady and Essie Mae Angel Turner. He was a farmer and truck driver. He also worked for Lowell Packing Company and worked as a prison guard. He was of the Holiness faith.
He is survived by his sons: Jerry & Annette Turner of Abbeville, Bobby & Daniella Turner of Ocilla, and Frable “Spinawheel” & Cindy Turner of Fitzgerald; grandchildren: Whitney & Aaron Rodriguez, Crystal Turner, Royce & Makayla Turner, Bobby Turner, Jr., Peyton & Stephanie Turner, Jeremiah Turner, Tori Turner & Matt Lamb, Kerstan & Junior Dennard, Chase May, Thomas Horton, and Sallie Horton; great-grandchildren: Hunter Ellis, Gracie Turner, Peyton Turner, Jr., Rowan McKie, Adena Turner, and Walker Lamb. Several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy York Turner; six brothers; and one sister.
