Obituary

George Edward Bohn, Jr. born on March 23rd, 1961, of South Walpole, MA, formerly of Ashland, MA, passed away in his beloved home on November 21st, 2023, after a long period of declining health and a courageous battle with cancer.

He is predeceased by his parents George Bohn, Sr. and Catherine McGrath (Bohn), as well as his beloved cats, Luigi and Charlee.

He is survived by his daughter, Theresa Bohn and his only grandson, Nathaniel (Nate) Potter of Damariscotta, ME and his son, Brandon Bohn of Quincy, MA. His 3 siblings, Donna Terrio of Easton, PA, Cathy Liverpool of Mesa, AZ and Paul Bohn of Ashland, MA. His close friends, Julie Rifai and her children, Laila and AJ of South Walpole, MA and Carolyn Cronk of Mine Hill, NJ. As well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

George spent his early years in Dorchester and moved to Ashland, where he attended middle and high school. He was enlisted the US Army and Honorably Discharged in 1987. He was a long-time resident of South Walpole, MA and loved all Boston sports teams, especially the Patriots and Bruins. He could be found during Gillette Stadium events parking cars or at the Country Store playing Keno and drinking iced coffee. His most proud moment was becoming a grandfather and loved every minute of spending time with his grandson. Castle Island, the White Mountains and the beach were his happy places.

A Celebration of Life is planned for Saturday, December 2nd at the Ashland VFW Post 2331, 311 Pleasant St, Ashland, MA 01721 at 2:00pm in the downstairs hall. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105
