Jarvis T. Finch, 79, of Marianna, Florida passed away Monday, November 20, 2023, at his residence. A graveside funeral service will be held for Mr. Finch at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 25, 2023, at Oak Ridge Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest. The Rev. Paul Martin will officiate.
Mr. Finch’s grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
Born August 9, 1944, in Vero Beach (Indian River County), Florida, Mr. Finch was the don of the late Taft Finch and Helen Inez Cruce Finch. He was also preceded in death by three brothers and one sister. Before retiring, he was the road and bridge superintendent for Tift County.
Mr. Finch is survived by his wife, Patricia Fallin Finch of Marianna, Florida; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jarvis Daniel and Dina Finch of Howey in the Hills, Florida and John Larry and Calvin Finch of Arcadia, Florida; two daughters and sons-in-law, Priscilla Dawn and Tommy Coleman of Marianna, Florida and Kellie Gay and Alvaro Ponce of Landverde, Illinois; seven sisters, Mary Lou Strawter of Lady Lake, Florida, Vernice Lamb of Kentucky, Audrey Lewis of Vero Beach, Florida, Odean Burgner of Fellesmere, Florida, Kay Hubbard of California, Ann Aldsorfe of Mobile, Alabama and Betty Dillard of Rosalind, Florida; ten grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in Jarvis Finch’s name to a charity of choice.
