Roger Lee Flanigan, 86, of Tifton passed away Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at Tift Regional Medical Center. A graveside funeral service will be held for Mr. Flanigan at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 24, 2023, at Cumorah Cemetery in Douglas, where he will be laid to rest. The Rev. Rocky Carrington will officiate.
Born December 24, 1936, in Mapleton, Maine, Mr. Flanigan was the son of the late Arthur Wendell Flanigan and Julia Young Flanigan. He was also preceded in death by three sisters and eight brothers. Before retiring, he worked in Agricultural Chemical Manufacturing. He enjoyed gardening and fishing; and he served in the United States Air Force.
Mr. Flanigan is survived by his wife, Clara Jeanette Thomas Flanigan of Tifton; one son, Terry Flanigan of Tifton; one daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Jamie Dillard of Tifton; four grandchildren and their spouses, Justin and Chelsea Hasty, Kelly and Lucas Hand, Jamie and Chelsea Dillard and Jessica and Justin Hayles; and three great-grandchildren, Chandler Dillard, Brynton Hayles and Trace Hayles.
