Randy Ray Ringen, 84, of Ventura, California, passed away on November 17, 2023, at his home. Randy was born in Luverne, Minnesota, to Haakon and Ione Ringen on March 6, 1939. Randy attended Colton High. He joined the Marines, where he reached the rank of lance corporal. After receiving his honorable discharge, he went on to earn his degree in civil engineering from Cal State Pomona. He enjoyed traveling and woodworking.
Randy is survived by his first son, Randy Mark, and daughter-in-law, Vaida Banyte Ringen, of Ventura; and daughter, Ione Ringen, of Stockton; his sister, Sharyl Lee, and brother-in-law, Larry Lee; his sister-in-law, Sara Ringen; his nieces Cherie Negrete, Virgina Lehrack, Marci Stewart, and Kirsten Ringen; and nephew Davin Ringen. He was predeceased by his wife of 60 years, Florence Ringen, his second son, John Ringen, and his brother Ronald Ringen.
Randy wished to be interred in Luverne, Minnesota, and a service will be held in Ventura. Arrangements are under the direction of Joseph P. Reardon Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 757 E. Main Street, Ventura.
