John A. Butler (56) of Brockton died November 18th in the Brigham and Women's Hospital, Boston.
He was born in Lynn son of Corine (Gillis) Butler of New Hampshire and the late John Butler. John was the owner of J and A Butler Transportation Company in Brockton and was a communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Church. He attended Brockton Schools, an Allstar softball player in many leagues in the area and coached basketball at the Hancock School. John was known as an amazing father, great man and one of a kind person.
In addition to his mother he is survived by his son John A. Butler Jr. of Brockton, his daughter Alexis Butler of Brockton, his brother Paul Butler of Lakeville, 3 sisters, Catherine, Shelle and Andrea Butler all of New Hampshire, his former wife Susan Pugliese, a grandchild on the way and many nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will take place in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 433 West Street Brockton Tuesday November 28th at 10:30 am. Burial to follow in Melrose Cemetery, 88 N Pearl Street Brockton.
