Theresa L. (Scrocco) Keating, who celebrated her 104th birthday on November 13, died peacefully on November 18, 2023 at Life Care Center of West Bridgewater. Theresa was the wife of the late John P. Keating, Jr.; they were married for 55 years. Born and raised in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Carmen and Bettina (Cappiello) Scrocco.
A 1937 graduate of Brockton High School, Theresa attended Williams Business School. For many years, she worked in the cafeteria at Brockton High School.
Theresa was devoted to caring for her home and family, especially her daughter Maryanne. For many years, she was a volunteer for GROW Workshop in Randolph. She enjoyed summers at Pinehurst Beach in Wareham.
Theresa was the mother of John J. Keating (ret BFD) and his wife Desyle of Whitman, William F. Keating (Ret BFD) of Brockton, Thomas E. Keating (ret BPD) and his wife Kathy of Bridgewater and the late Maryanne Keating. She was the grandmother of Dennis, Maureen, Mack and Karlie Keating and the late Tana and Sharon Keating. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Celia Guidaboni, Yolanda Gray and Olga DiPalma.
Visitation will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Monday, November 27 from 8:45-10:45am followed by a Funeral Service at 10:45am. Burial will be in the Massachusetts National Cemetery.
