Richard H. ‘Dick’ Danner, 86 of Tewksbury, passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2023 at Nevins Nursing and Rehab in Methuen. He was the loving husband of Maria (Indelicato) Danner, with whom he would have celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary Saturday, November 25, 2023.
He was born in Brighton, MA on August 30, 1937 and was a son of the late Ralph Danner and the late Daisy (Saunders) Danner. He was raised in Somerville, and he graduated from Somerville High School and Northeastern University.
After marrying Maria, they moved to Tewksbury. He loved football and was a football coach in Somerville and Tewksbury. As well as a basketball and softball coach. He enjoyed being involved with all sports activities his entire life.
Dick worked as a computer analyst throughout Massachusetts for many years before his retirement.
In addition to his wife, Maria of Beverly, he is survived by four children, Richard Danner and his wife, Laura of Melbourne Beach, FL, Virginia Ashe and her husband, Robert of Londonderry, NH, Tracy Danner of Beverly, and Melanie Jones of Tewksbury. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Caroline, Charlotte, and Erik Danner, Kyle and Farrah Ashe, David Danner, and Kevin and Nathan Jones; as well as several sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was also predeceased by his brother, the late Ralph Danner.
