Brandon Rickerson "Lil" B" Paulk, 21, of Tifton passed away Sunday, May 1, 2005, at his residence. His funeral service was held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 4, 2005, at Eastside Baptist Church in Tifton with the Rev. Calvin Bobo officiating. Brandon was laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
Luke Joyner, Dustin Hawkins, Carey Hawkins, Willis McCorvey, Bryan Mullis, Kurt Pitts, John Rakestraw and Daniel Wyatt served as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Jeremy Poole, Dustin Smith, Heath Greer, Heath Carmichael, Tyler Riddle, Jason Dixon, Trent Bryan, Chance McAllister, Brandon McAllister, Ryan Smith, Eddie Bennett, Carl Thompson, Chad Clanton, Tyler Bryan, Jeremy Pierce, Matt Mixon and Duane Mixon.
Born February 9, 1984, in Tift County, Brandon was the son of Ricky Paulk and Elaine Guess Paulk of Tifton. He was of the Baptist faith and attended Eastside Baptist Church in Tifton. He was a 2002 graduate of Tift County High School; and he was the 1992 Heart-to-Heart Kid for the State of Georgia and the American Heart Association. He was a sports enthusiast, an avid outdoorsman; and loved hunting and fishing. He was loved by all.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, George R. Paulk, Sr.; and his maternal grandparents, Edward and Cora Mae Guess.
In addition to his parents, Brandon is survived by one brother, Christopher Duran Paulk of Tifton; his paternal grandparents, Belle and Jack Mooney of Tifton; his aunts and uncles, Lynn and Carroll Mixon, Joy and Ricky Bryan, Kara and David Moore, Joyce Guess, Roger and Jill Guess, Emory and Linda Guess, Ann and Calvin Griffin and Judy and Carey Earnest; numerous cousins; and a special friend, Deidra Hall.
