Darlene M Kelly age 66, of Ludlow MA, passed away on November 13th after a courageous battle with cancer surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 12, 1957 in Springfield to the late Everett and Irene (Martin) Kelly. Darlene found happiness in the simple things in life. She enjoyed baking apple pies, scratching lottery tickets, driving her white convertible, singing, dancing, and generously sharing whatever she had with others. Her greatest source of happiness was to be with her family and friends. Darlene leaves behind her partner of over 20 years, Daniel Ferry. She also leaves behind her beloved daughters, Tara Tilton of Claremont NH, Kristy Barton of West Springfield, MA, and Tracy Formica and her husband James of Somers CT. She is survived by her siblings, Larry Kelly of West Springfield MA, MaryAnn Nelson of Springfield MA, Carol Fusaro of Enfield CT, Joe Kelly of Agawam MA, and Bobby Kelly of Springfield MA. Darlene was the proud grandmother of Rebekah, Kylie, Piper and Lyla and great grandson Noah. A special thank you to the New England Hospice team who provided her with special comfort and dignity. May she rest in peace. Calling hours will be held at Grise Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St. Chicopee on Thursday, November 30th from 4:00 – 7:00 PM. There will be a prayer service at 6:30 PM.
