Obituary

Marie J. "Peachie" Marsden, a 12-year resident of Tewksbury and formerly of Charlestown, entered into eternal life on Friday morning, November 17, 2023, and is finally reunited with her beloved husband Zeke. She was 77 years of age.

Peachie was born in Boston on March 15, 1946, a daughter of the late Anna (Allwood) Connors. She grew up in Charlestown where she was educated in the Boston Public School system and graduated from Charlestown High School in 1963. She went on to further her education and received her bachelor's degree in education from Lesley University and then received her master's degree in education from Framingham State College. Peachie worked as a Paraprofessional in teaching at Curtis Guild School in East Boston for several years before becoming a teacher where she taught at The McCormack School in Dorchester. During the summer months, she enjoyed traveling to Fitzwilliam, New Hampshire where she relaxed at Woodbrook and enjoyed watching the water ripple. She enjoyed listening to Van Morrison and also enjoyed her friends with the Eastover crew and The Club. Family was so very important to Peachie, and she cherished those special moments she shared with her beloved husband Zeke, her 3 children and especially her grandchildren whom she loved so much.

Peachie is the beloved wife of the late William J. "Zeke" Marsden. She is the devoted mother of Susan Golley, Billy Marsden Jr. and his wife Eileen Hughes, Melanie Marsden and her boyfriend Jay Poole, Michael Marsden and Cherie Marsden. She is the loving Nana to Sara, Erin, Emily, Mikey and Abigail. She is the beloved sister of Janie McLaughlin and the late Shakey Dowd, Arthur Dowd, Betty Dowd, Jimmy Connors and Billy Connors. She is also survived by her many loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Peachie's Funeral on Saturday morning, November 25, 2023, at 9 A.M. from The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Francis De Sales Church, 313 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown at 10 A.M. Her burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden. Her visiting hours will be on Friday, November 24, 2023, from 4 to 7 P.M. in the funeral home.
