Leita A. (McCabe) McKenna, 79, of Franklin, died Friday, November 17, 2023, at Benchmark Assisted Living in Franklin. She was the beloved wife of Paul M. McKenna for the past 61 years.
Born in Boston on March 28, 1944, she was the daughter of the late James and Ruth (Winslow) McCabe.
Leita was a resident of Franklin since 1967.
Before her retirement, she worked as an orthodontist assistant for many years.
Leita cherished spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she is survived her daughter Rachel Purdon of Franklin, her son Sean McKenna and his wife Andrea of Franklin, five grandchildren, Kayla Purdon and her fiancé Zack, Sarah Kirby and her husband Miles, Hannah Purdon and her fiancé David and Calvin and Brody McKenna, and one great-granddaughter McKenna Grace Kirby.
She is also survived by her sister Sharon Currie of Harwich Port and many nieces and nephews.
She was the mother-in-law of the late Michael Purdon and sister of the late Sheila Mitchell.
