Glennys A. Campbell (68) of Boston, formerly of Newton, MA passed away peacefully on 13 November 2023 in the Miriam Boyd Parlin Hospice Residence, Wayland, MA after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer.
Devoted daughter of the late Elmore M. Campbell, M.D. and Margaret A. (Leary) Campbell. Beloved sister of Bruce and his wife Franny (Trapani) Campbell of Wellesley, MA, Brian and his wife Sharon M. (Marra) Campbell of Dracut, MA, Stephen and his wife Irene (Voldstad) Campbell of Old Lyme, CT, Siobhan (Campbell) and her husband Brian Jordan of Wellesley, Elinor (Campbell) Beatrice of Newton, MA, and Erica L. Campbell of Boston, MA. Predeceased by her beloved sister Gretchen (Campbell) Nowell and predeceased by her dear brother-in-law Jeffery Beatrice. Glennys is also survived by many loving Nieces and Nephews as well as grand nieces and nephews and a vast number of relatives and friends.
Glennys attended school in Newton and upon graduation from high school had a long career with The John Hancock Insurance company retiring in 2011. She loved traveling, reading books, her country music, drinking her favorite Dunkins coffee, and was an avid Red Sox and Bruins sports fan. She was also a devoted Aunt to all her nieces, nephews, and their children too.
There will be a celebration of life for Glennys with the date still to be determined, after her cremation and interment in Newton Cemetery following a funeral mass at Our Lady Help of Christians church in Newton.
