Phyllis T. (Landry) Lafleur, age 97, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away on Nov. 9, 2023 with her family by her side. She was the daughter of the late Phillip and Laura (Lavigne) Landry. She was a graduate of Cathedral High School, Class 1944. She joined the US Cadet Nurse Corps in 1944 and graduated from Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in 1947. She was a Registered Nurse, doing private duty nursing and Public Health Nursing for the Chicopee VNA, and then for Baystate VNA and Hospice before she retired at 80 years of age. She is survived by her son Gerard Lafleur and his wife Cathy Girard of Manchester, CT; her daughter Laurie Ann Runkle and her husband Michael of Belchertown; her granddaughter, Larissa LeCun and husband Ben of Durango, CO. She is predeceased by her brother Dr. Phillip Landry Jr and by her close companion, William Whitney. All services will be private. The Grise Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
