Jason A. St. Pierre, 52, of Salem, passed away in his home following a brief illness. He was the loving husband of the late Christina J. (Wright) St. Pierre and son of Roger R. and Claire R. (Madore) St. Pierre.
Born and raised in Salem, he was a graduate of St. John’s Prep and Northeastern University. An outstanding athlete from a young age, he excelled in hockey and baseball throughout his life. He joined his father in the family-owned St. Pierre Movers of Salem for most of his working career.
Playing on many of the local youth hockey and baseball teams in his younger years, he later coached those teams including Salem-Swampscott Youth Hockey. Jason loved working with the young aspiring athletes, especially in the ‘Learn to Skate’ program. He will be greatly missed by his family, cousins and many friends.
In addition to his parents who reside in Salem, he is survived by his four children, Matthew J. and Adam G. St. Pierre, both of Salem, and Jacob R. and Lauren R. St. Pierre both of Essex, his brother Scott St. Pierre and wife Julie of Madison Lake, Minnesota, his nephew Erik St. Pierre, also of Minnesota, and his former wife, Kathleen M. (Gardner) St. Pierre.
