Eleanor A. (Smola) Lamoureux, age 93, passed away on Nov. 13, 2023 at Mercy Medical Center. She was born on Feb. 20, 1930 in Warren, MA, daughter of the late Leon and Agnes (Adamzek) Smola. Eleanor worked as a secretary for many years. She also worked as a food handler for Ara Services for many years before she retired. She is predeceased by her husband Robert Lamoureux and also by her 8 siblings. She is survived by her son Joseph Lamoureux of AZ; her daughter Denise Eleanor Ascione of Putnam, CT; five grandchildren, Lindsey, Tracy, Amanda, Amber and Robert along with four great grandchildren, Haley, Ashlee, Mason and Joey. Calling hours will be held on the morning of the funeral, Saturday, Nov. 18, 2023 from 11:00 AM – 12:00 Noon at the Grise Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St, Chicopee followed by an in house prayer service at 12:00 Noon. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Chicopee.
