Cosenza, Peter R. of Westwood, formerly of Hyde Park, age 66, November 14, 2023. Beloved husband of Cheryl (Merino) Cosenza, formerly of Dedham, for 40 years. Devoted father of Christa Cosenza of Westwood. Cherished son of the late Zopito “Peter” and Dora (D’Angelo) Cosenza of Hyde Park.
Brother-in-law of the late John P. Merino and Deborah M. Merino. Survived by his sister-in-law Madeline (Falcetta) Merino, niece Elizabeth Merino of Dedham and many cousins.
Peter was a graduate of Northeastern University where he earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Electrical Engineering. Peter loved to golf and was an active member of his local Parish for more than 30 years, St. Margaret Mary’s Church in Westwood.
Visiting hours will be held at the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St., Dedham on Thursday, Nov. 16 from 4:00-7:00pm. His funeral will be held from the funeral home on Friday, Nov. 17 at 8:30am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Margaret Mary’s Church, Westwood at 10:00am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in the memory of Peter to the American Heart Association.
