WEBSTER – Elaine D. (Pelletier) Zawalich, 76, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on November 14, 2023.
She leaves her husband of 48 years, Walter A. Zawalich, Sr.; 7 children, James Zawalich of Auburn, Walter A. Zawalich, Jr. and his wife Megan of Brimfield, John Zawalich and his wife Roxanne of Auburn, Beth A. McAfee of Leicester, Dorothy A. Pepper of Webster, Francine Spagnola of Millbury and an “adopted daughter” Trina Fields of Leicester who was raised by her; 10 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Ronald Pelletier of Florida and Gerard Pelletier of Worcester; a sister, Dolores Lowe of Marlboro. She was preceded in death by her son-in-law David A. Pepper in 2022 and her brother Andre “Pete” Pelletier.
Mrs. Zawalich was born on July 19, 1947 in Worcester, a daughter of Wilbrod and Lauria (Langevin) Pelletier. She was a graduate of David Hale Fanning Girls Trade School in Worcester. She lived in Worcester until moving to Webster 10 years ago.
She enjoyed shopping, casino visits and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 6:00 PM Monday, November 20, in Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main Street, with a service at 5:15 PM during the calling hours.
