Daniel R. DeTeso, of Woburn, died peacefully, Monday, November 13, 2023, with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of the late Marjorie F. (Norton) DeTeso. Born in Woburn he was the son of the late Joseph and Ethel (Flynn) DeTeso.
A loyal husband, a dedicated father, a generous friend, and the very best Gappy to his grandchildren. He was a memorable personality who lit up a room with his energy and comedy. He would always go above and beyond for others.
Daniel was a proud United States Army Veteran of the Korean War and lived his whole life in Woburn. For 51 years he was the print shop manager at MIT/Lincoln Laboratories and was beloved by his colleagues. Daniel was very creative, and in his leisure time he enjoyed making many a wedding dress for family members and finding a love for painting in his later years.
Daniel is survived by his son Damon DeTeso and his wife Jennifer of Saratoga Springs, NY. He was the loving grandfather of Owen DeTeso and Vivien DeTeso, both of Saratoga Springs, NY. Brother of the late Joseph DeTeso, the late Paul DeTeso and his surviving wife Mary Ellen of Woburn. He is further survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held from the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Family Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., WOBURN, Monday, November 20th, at 10:30 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass celebrated in St. Charles Borromeo Church, 280 Main St., Woburn, at 11:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday from 3 to 6 p.m. Services will conclude with military honors and burial at Calvary Cemetery, Winchester. It has been requested that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may made in Dan's memory to the Friends of Woburn Veterans, 144 School Street, Woburn, MA 01801.
