Maria Galvao Andrade (85) of Brockton passed away November 13th at home under hospice care surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Jose DeAndrade.
She was born in Sao Filipe, Fogo, Cabo Verde daughter of the late Vasco Galvao and Virginia (Mascarenhas) Galvao. Maria was a retired line leader for the Pharmasol Company. She loved cooking, going to church, trips to the casino’s and was known as a giver in the community.
Maria is survived by 3 sons, Jose Andrade of Whitman, Alexander J. Andrade of Cabo Verde and Joseph Andrade of Norwood, 2 daughters, Eugenia V. Andrade of Brockton and Maria D. Andrade of Brockton, 5 brothers, Antonio, Autilio, Pedro and Paulo Galvao all of Brockton and Joao Galvao of Boston, 3 sisters, Ana Fatima Galvao of Brockton, Angelica Silva of Brockton and Maria Galvao of Boston, 18 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation in the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel, 238 Court Street Brockton Sunday November 19th from 5-8 pm.
Viewing in the Funeral Home Monday Morning November 20th at 9 am. Followed by Services in the Nova Alianca Church of Nazarene, 38 Mystic Street Brockton at 10 am. Burial to follow in Melrose Cemetery, 88 N Pearl Street Brockton.
