Joseph Lawrence Burns, III, 67, of Tifton passed away Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at Tift Regional Medical Center. His funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, November 16, 2023, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Rickey Wells officiating. Mr. Burns will be laid to rest at a later date.
Born August 9, 1956, in Hampton, Virginia, Mr. Burns was the son of the late Joseph Lawrence Burns, Jr. and Henrietta Merckley Burns.
Mr. Burns is survived by his wife, Audrey Rose Sumner Burns of Tifton; one son, Joseph Lawrence “Joey” Burns, IV of Alma; one daughter Jennifer Jenkins of Tifton; one brother, Jerry Burns of Bonita Springs, Florida; one sister, Marcela Burns of Smithville, Virginia; six grandchildren, Levi Burns, Alan Jenkins, Vincent Jenkins, Zach Bullington, Grace Bullington and David Bullington; and one great-grandson, David Bullington.
