MEREDITH ---- John Andrew Silva, 81, passed away on Friday, October 27, 2023, at Golden View Nursing Home in Meredith.
John was born on March 20, 1942, in Lowell, MA, the son of John S. Silva and Mary (Panus) Silva.
He was an active member of the Lakes Region Rotary and co-chaired their annual car show for a number of years. He was a sales engineer in the field of manufacturing before he retired and began his real estate career. John loved real estate. He was patient, flexible and honest, and his clients expressed gratitude and satisfaction for his services. He enjoyed biking, cross country skiing and hiking, but his biggest love was cars. He loved to recount each detail of the 37+ cars he owned over his lifetime. He was friendly and outgoing and his greatest joy was taking visitors, especially young families, through the New England Motor Sports Museum in Loudon, explaining each exhibit.
John is survived by his loving partner Mary Seeger; his son Greg Silva and his wife Carol; his daughter Kristine Silva Delacoe and her husband Mitchell; his grandsons Chad Bullard (Crystle) and Ryan Bullard (Megan); his great-granddaughter, Sage Bullard; and his sister Diane Cooney. In addition to his parents, John is predeceased by his granddaughter, Katie Silva.
