Chris Fussell, 50, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Monday, November 13, 2023, in Irwin County, Georgia.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Thursday, November 16, 2023, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, with the Rev. Rex Johnson officiating. Traci Force Smith will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery in Fitzgerald. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, from 6 PM until 8 PM, at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mr. Fussell was born February 6, 1973, in Fitzgerald, Georgia, to Harris Fussell and the late Sandra Turk Fussell. He was a farmer, cattleman, mechanic and carpenter. Mr. Fussell enjoyed fishing, hunting and horse riding, and was a avid outdoorsman.
He is survived by his father, Harris Fussell of Fitzgerald; a brother and his wife, Ashley & Kerra Fussell of Fitzgerald and a niece, Grace Fussell. Many aunts, uncles and cousins also survive. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his wife, Meegan Phillips Fussell.
