Wendy Avery, 70, of Sycamore passed away Sunday, November 12, 2023, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center in Moultrie. A memorial service will be held for Ms. Avery at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 20, 2023, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Kenny Kicklighter officiating. Ms. Avery will be laid to rest at a later date.
Born August 29, 1953, in Savannah, Ms. Avery was the daughter of the late James E. Avery Sr., and Marge Hosselton Avery. She was also preceded in death by one brother, James Edward Avery, Jr. Before retiring, she worked as an administrative assistant.
Ms. Avery is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Tiffany Richey of Sycamore; and two brothers and sisters-in-law, Mark and Jocena Avery of Locust Grove and Michael and Lynn Avery of Irmo, South Carolina.
