Obituary

George C. Morin Jr., 73, of Nazareth, PA passed away peacefully on November 11, 2023, in Easton, PA. Born in Fall River, MA, on September 20, 1950, George was the son of the late George and Leonora (Place) Morin of Westport, MA. He married Shannondoe (Bickmore) Morin on October 5, 1985, in Westport, MA.

George graduated from Bishop Stang High School in Dartmouth, MA and attended Bristol Community College in Fall River, MA. Throughout his life, George was a dedicated New England Patriots, Boston Red Sox and Boston Celtics fan. Attending the 2019 Super Bowl and 2013 World Series games were among highpoints in his life. In addition to being a loyal New England fan, George enjoyed camping, photography, touring on his motorcycle and spending time on Cape Cod with his family.

George was employed by Hamon Research Cottrell, a major provider of air pollution control technology solutions, for more than 30 years. He held many titles during his career which concluded with his retirement as Director of Construction Services. His job had him travel extensively domestically and occasionally internationally. After retirement, George volunteered for Habitat for Humanity of the Lehigh Valley. He was a member of St. Jane Frances de Chantel Roman Catholic Church, Easton, PA.

He is survived by his wife, Shannondoe Morin; his sister Eileen Lake of South Yarmouth, MA; his sons, Craig Morin of Westport, MA, and Chad Morin and his wife, Isis, of Raynham, MA; daughters, Kristen Morin of Bethlehem, PA and Nicole Keller and her husband, Alex, of Allentown, PA; his grandchildren Chase Morin, Daytonah Morin, and Ava Keller. He is also survived by his many nephews and nieces.

In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by three sisters, Margaret Goslin, Phyllis Fontaine, and Marjorie Gorman.

Memorial Mass of Christian Burial to which relatives and friends are invited will be Saturday, November 18, 2023 at Our Lady of Grace Church, Westport at 11:00 A.M.

Visitation will be Friday at the Potter Funeral Home from 6-8 P.M.

Interment will be private.
