Sally I. (Marcy) Ellison, 73 of Worcester, passed away on Friday, November 10th at home. She leaves her husband of 53 years, Ronald Ellison; four daughters, Christina George and her husband, Richard of New Braintree, Debora Brow and her husband, Steve of Hardwick, Becky O’Dell and her husband, James of Ware, and Lisa Ellison of Gardner; a son, Christopher Ellison of Gardner; a brother, James Marcy and his wife, Linda of CT; two sisters, Diane Fondelheit and her husband, Dan of CT, and Sara Marcy and her partner, Lamont of NJ; 10 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her two brothers, Charles and Willard Jr.; and a nephew, Joey Marcy
She was born in Putnam, CT the daughter of late Willard and Doris (Boiselle) Marcy. After high school, Sally received a certification to become a certified nursing assistant and worked at nursing homes in Gardner for 17 years. Sally had a phenomenal sense of humor and was a major Red Sox fan. She also enjoyed solving jigsaw puzzles, going on drives to sight see, and investigating the paranormal at local famous locations. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Sally’s burial will be private and take place at Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Winchendon. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association Massachusetts/New Hampshire Chapter, 480 Pleasant St., Watertown, MA 02472.
