Evelyn Othele Cannady Hall Maye, 83, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away Saturday, May 28, 2005, at Palm Garden Nursing Home in Jacksonville, Florida. Her funeral service was held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, June 2, 2005, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Darrell Rentz officiating. Mrs. Maye was laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
Born January 28, 1922, in Tift County, Mrs. Maye was the daughter of the late Albie Cannady and Nellie Benefield Cannady. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Bryant Davis Hall. She was a homemaker; and she was of the Baptist faith.
Mrs. Maye is survived by three sons, Charles Davis Hall of Arcadia, Florida, Larry Gene Hall of Albany and Joseph Lee Hall of Jacksonville, Florida' three daughters, Katherine Louise Causby of Bostic, North Carolina, Hazell Matthews of Jacksonville, Florida and Sarita Wilson of Silver Springs, Florida; one brother, Eulan Cannady of Atlanta; three sisters, Louise Felberg of Jesup, Juanita Sanders of Atlanta and Margaret Woodcock of Hawkinsville; 18 grandchildren; and 24 greqat-grandchildren.
