Henry Daniel Mauldin, Jr., 81, of Ty Ty passed away Saturday, March 26, 2005, at Phoebe-Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany. His funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 29, 2005, at the First Baptist Church of Ty Ty with the Rev. Danny Jones officiating. Mr. Mauldin was laid to rest at the First Baptist Church of Ty Ty Cemetery.
Mr. Mauldin's nephews, Horace Salter, Lenward Davis, David Davis, Jerry McKellar, Steve Gray and Larry Hartsfield served as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Mr. Mauldin's remaining nephews.
Born January 11, 1924, in Plant City (Hillsborough County), Florida, Mr. Mauldin was the son of the late Henry Daniel Mauldin, Sr. and Liza Elizabeth Powell Mauldin. Before retiring, he was a butcher at Lykes Packing Company; and he was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ty Ty. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served in World War II.
Mr. Mauldin is survived by his wife, Dors Eloise Davis Mauldin of Ty Ty; two sons and daughters-in-law, Dannie and Susan Mauldin of Tifton and Clay and Melody Mauldin of Chula; three daughters and sons-in-law, Elaine and Larry Cooper of Sylvester, Diane and Wayne Burdette of Ty Ty and Doris and Gene Malcom of Lake Blackshear; two brothers, Bill Mauldin of Moultrie and Willie Mauldin of High Springs, Florida; one sister, Delcie Sutton of Quitman; 14 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
