PARSONSFIELD- November 11, 2023, Wesley M. Stacey, surrounded by his loving family, passed away.
He was born on September 18, 1946, to Philip Morrill and Joyce (Peterson) Stacey in Saco, Maine.
Wesley joined the Marine Corps in January 1966. He was a member of the 3rd Marine Division Combat Engineer during the Vietnam War. Wes was honorably discharged in January 1969.
Wesley was a member of West-Day Post Legions #123 of Kezar Falls. He was a past master of Drummond Lodge #118 in Parsonsfield. Wes belonged to Porter - Parsonsfield Historical Society and was Vice President of ALSOP. Wesley's favorite thing to do was to look for cemeteries in Parsonsfield. He found 180. Every May he helped put flags on over 200 Parsonsfield Veterans graves.
Wesley is survived by his wife- Sue; son- Peter (Cyndie); daughter- Alison (Jamie); two granddaughters- Charlee (Drew) and Jayden; sisters- Lenora (David), Anna (Ralph), Romona (David); brother- Warren (Eileen); and is survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was predeceased by his father- Philip and Verna Morrill; mother- Joyce and Manuel Stacey; and a sister- Sheryl Arbour.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 17th, at Poitras, Neal & York Funeral Home, 71 Maple St., Cornish at 11am with a Masonic funeral followed by United States Marine Corps Honors.
