Dennis M. Lynch, Sr., 66

Dateline: Mansfield, MA

Dennis M. Lynch, Sr., age 66, of Mansfield, passed away, surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at the Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. He was the beloved husband of Donna M. (Giovannucci) Lynch.

Born in Boston, MA on November 13, 1956, he was a loving son of the late Hugh F. and Mary (Haverty) Lynch.

Dennis grew up in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Boston and was a graduate of Hyde Park High. He had made his home in Mansfield for the past forty years and prior to retiring, was employed as a custodian in the Mansfield School System and previously worked as a machine operator at Stop & Shop in Readville.

Dennis’s family, whom he loved dearly, were truly the essence of his life. He was an avid New England sports fan, had a special place in his heart for animals, a “sweet tooth” for scratch tickets and will always remembered with a smile for his outgoing personality and remarkable sense of humor.

In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by his devoted children: Stephanie Devine and her husband William of Easton, Daniel Lynch and his wife Rachel of Bellingham, Dennis Lynch, Jr. and his fiancé Jade Chancholo of Norton, Brian Lynch of Virginia and Matthew Lynch of Mansfield. He was the cherished “pops” of Matthew, Kayla and Fiona. He was the dear brother of Donna Gould of Canada and her late husband Roderick Gould, Hugh Lynch and his wife Janice of Dennis, Robert Lynch and his wife Nancy of Dedham, the late Charles Lynch and his late wife Dolina, the late James Lynch, who is survived by his wife Cathy Lynch of Holbrook and the late Patrick Lynch and his late wife Sandra Lynch. He was the much-loved friend of Kevin Hallissey and Malinda Vance and is also survived by his loving nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Saturday, November 18th from 3:00-6:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main Street, Mansfield. Burial will be private.
